By: Frank Rivera

Rios vs Gamboa was only a rumor a few weeks ago, when President of Top Rank Boxing Todd DuBoef mentioned in a video interview on Boxingscene.com, that there were some talks about a possible fight between Rios and Gamboa sometime in April. As boxing fans learned of the possible fight between Rios and Gamboa opened up the floodgates for boxing fans to speculate who would win between these two warrior’s.

The speculation can finally stop, just last night around 10:49 PM, Brandon Rios took to his Official Brandon “Bam Bam” Rios Facebook fan page and made his announcement that he will be facing Gamboa in April;

“Boxing fans I would like to officially announce my next fight! April 14, 2012, Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada vs. Yuriorkis Gamboa at 135lb. Team Rios thanks for always showing me love and support. I love this sport and all the support is what drives me to train harder! Here we go Team Rios! Countdown to April 14th has begun!” – Brandon “Bam Bam” Rios
The stage is set for Rios vs Gamboa for April 14, 2012 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Rios is going to be a big test for Yuriokis Gamboa, who is moving up from Featherweight (126 pounds) to Lightweight (135 pounds) to face a tough pressure fighter in Brandon Rios. The debate of who is going to win will be carried out until April 14th.
Please share with me your thoughts on this fight coming up in April, as to who you believe will win.
